Hockessin Athletic Club’s Stage Stars Dance and Acro Studio is a top dance studio in New Castle County, Delaware. Lovingly known as SSDA, the studio and instructors have given quality dance instruction to the greater Hockessin community in Northern Delaware and Southern Chester County for over a decade. As the largest local dance studio, thousands of kids have passed through the dance program at HAC. Dance Studio Director, Angie Craft, combines fun with technique to ensure classes are enjoyable for dancers of all ages.

 

Dance instruction begins at age three with a blend of ballet and tap, and progresses into traditional specific dance techniques including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, pointe, and hip hop. The dance studio classes run from September through May, culminating in an optional end-of-the-year dance recital. New dancers are strongly encouraged to join at any time during the season – it’s never too late to dance! Recreational dance programs are also available during the summer for our dancers who don’t want to miss a beat!

 

While many of our dancers began with the tot dance classes, our curriculum is designed so that no matter their age, children are encouraged to begin learning to dance!

 

Dance lessons at SSDA are not only fun, but are great for building self-esteem, friendships, and fine motor skills. Stage Stars Dance and Acro is also recognized in New Castle County, Delaware for its award-winning choreography and company dance team. Our competitive dance team travels all over for competitions and events, including the annual Dance the World at Walt Disney World.

 

Stage Stars Dance and Acro is open to members ages 3-13 who enjoy one weekly class of dance instruction included with their family membership.
