Dance Class
Dance is the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself.
Dance Levels
Level 1: Ages 7-13 Years (0-3) years experience)
Level 2: Ages 7-13 Years (4-6 years experience)
Level 3: Ages 7-13 Years (7+ years experience, minimum age 10)
Level 4: Ages 13+ Years (Teacher Approved)
Level 5: Ages 13+ Years (Teacher Approved)
Level 6: Ages 13+ Years (Teacher Approved)
All level 3 and up classes are teacher approved
All class placements are under the discretion of the Director and teachers.
Twinkle Stars
Our Twinkle Stars program for ages 3 - 7 will introduce your dancers to ballet, tap, and jazz
Your dancer will be introduced to ballet, tap, and jazz basics that will provide an excellent dance foundation as they grow. We highly recommend two classes a week for all young dancers!

Hip hop
Inspired by freedom of expression and social dance, dancers will be able to let loose and gain confidence. This class will cover a broad spectrum of hip hop styles including popping, locking, breaking, freestyle and more. All music is age appropriate for every level.

Tap
One of the most traditional forms of dance using shoes with a metal heel and toe taps to create different rhythms, sounds & patterns. Tap is great for developing rhythm, musicality and coordination skills and is so much fun.

BALLET
A classical form of dance focusing on proper body alignment and fluidity of movement. Barre, center floor, and across the floor progressions are all used to develop proper ballet technique. Ballet is the foundation upon which most dance forms are based.

This is an advanced technique of classical ballet that is done on your toes in special shoes called pointe shoes. This genre is done after many years of training in traditional ballet classes.

Lyrical
An expressive form of dance that incorporates many dance styles. Most times, lyrical tells a story through choreography and dance inspired by the lyrics of the song. Dancers are encouraged to explore their emotions and movement through improvisation. A strong ballet and jazz foundation improves the quality of this movement and style.

This upbeat class combines stylized movement with proper technique. Jazz dance is based on ballet foundations and each class consists of a warm-up with isolated movements, across the floor progressions, center combinations, and current choreography all set to age appropriate music.

Acro
Tumbling is a form of gymnastics performed without props or equipment. Also referred to as floor gymnastics, common moves performed in tumbling include flips, somersaults, tucks, handstands, and handsprings.
REQUIRED UNIFORM
Girls must wear a leotard or biketard, no socks. Two piece outfits are not permitted. Boys must wear shorts or sweatpants and a t-shirt, no socks.

Acro 101
Tiny tumblers will have a ball in this class designed just for them. Must be fully potty trained to participate. Tumblers will be walking on balance beam, learning forward rolls and various stations during this fun 30 minute class.
